Unmatched Hardness for Professional Tile and Stone
The Rockhard Diamond Hard Tile Drill Bit is engineered for the most challenging materials on the job site. Designed for professional tradesmen, this bit effortlessly drills through extremely hard and dense surfaces, including 5th class tiles, porcelain, granite, marble, glass, and highly glazed ceramics.
These bits require Rotary Drilling ONLY and must be used with a strict water-cooling protocol for optimal performance and extended life.
Key Features & Recommended Use:
-
Elite Material Compatibility: Perfect for drilling glass, glaze, sandstone, terra cotta, marble, cement, tiles, porcelain, quarry, terrazzo, agglomerate, and granite.
-
Mandatory Water Cooling: The bits must be water cooled at all times to ensure the diamond integrity remains intact and prevents overheating. While they can be used dry, this will result in a very limited life in hard tiles. They will perform their best when used wet.
-
Optimal Drilling Technique:
-
Start the drill rotating at 1200–2000 RPM.
-
Hold the drill at a 45-degree angle to the tile surface until a score mark has formed.
-
Gradually bring the drill to the perpendicular (90-degree) position to complete the hole.
-
Maintain a slight "rocking" motion during drilling to facilitate debris removal and enhance water cooling.
